About World Challenge Trip to Peru
In December 2020, I will take the challenge of participating in a World Challenge Expedition to Southern Peru.
World Challenge provides personal development and leadership programs which teach life skills and expand minds outside the classroom through a 12-18 month skills development program culminating in a one-month expedition to a developing country.
This experience of a lifetime will provide me with the opportunity to experience the wonders of the developing world while unlocking my own true potential. World Challenge programs are entirely student-led and I will be involved in every aspect of the expedition preparation from raising my own funds to planning my team’s overseas itinerary.
While in Southern Peru we will rotate roles and assume the responsibilities of a leader, accountant, accommodation manager and transport manager as well as participating in a volunteer community engagement experience, where we will be helping to improve educational facilities and get to know the local community. We will also complete a difficult 4-day trek, designed to challenge us both physically and mentally.
Throughout the program, I will learn and demonstrate many transferable life skills. These include leadership, teamwork, initiative, decision making, planning and communication while embracing the World Challenge ethos of Challenge, Participation and Environment.
I am trying to raise 100% of the funds for this trip and would really appreciate your help.
